Gevora Hotel rises along Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai and its interior work has to match the scale of the building. The hotel includes public lounges, dining spaces, conference facilities and a pool deck. Each area has a different function, but the metalwork package needed to make them feel related. Xinmao Metal supplied a broad set of custom details: lobby decoration, mirror-metal wall panels at elevator lobbies, conference-room metal walls and ceiling work, decorative lighting elements, restaurant screens and a range of smaller trim pieces.

The defining finish was 8K mirror stainless steel. In hospitality interiors, that finish has little room for error. It reflects light, movement and the materials beside it. Any waviness, scratch or uneven joint can be seen immediately, especially around elevators and reception areas where guests pass close to the walls. The project therefore depended on surface protection as much as fabrication: components had to arrive with the intended reflection and retain it through installation.

The result is a hotel interior with a clear metal language. Mirror panels add depth around lift zones. Fine trims establish boundaries at ceilings and wall finishes. Conference-room elements make functional rooms feel more formal. In restaurant spaces, a different material note appears through CNC-carved aluminium screens, which provide pattern and separation without repeating the mirror treatment everywhere.

Lobby and elevator metalwork for close viewing

The lobby is where the finish receives its closest inspection. Reception counters, seating, wall panels and elevator entrances are seen from several directions, often under both daylight and downlighting. The mirror stainless steel details in this project were used to frame those high-visibility surfaces, giving them a more precise edge and a stronger relationship to the hotel’s polished stone and glass.

Elevator lobbies present a particular challenge. Repeated vertical panels need to remain aligned over a long wall, while lift doors, call buttons and surrounding stone introduce several small interruptions. Metal wall cladding must account for all of them. The final surface should read as continuous even though it has been divided for manufacture, access and installation.

An anti-fingerprint and scratch-resistant surface treatment was specified because these are genuinely public touchpoints. That does not remove the need for careful cleaning and protection, but it helps the mirror finish remain more presentable in a hotel environment where guests, luggage and service activity move through the same areas every day.

Meeting rooms that need more than a plain wall

Conference rooms are usually planned around function: sightlines, lighting, screens and furniture layouts. The Gevora Hotel package gave these spaces a more finished architectural layer through metal wall surfaces, ceiling details and decorative lighting. The aim was not to make every wall reflective. It was to place metal where it could organise a room, mark a perimeter and catch the light in a controlled way.

Large metal wall panels need a consistent setting-out strategy. A room can look calm only when the panel grid, ceiling breaks and door openings acknowledge one another. For mirror-finished stainless steel, this is especially important because reflected lines exaggerate any misalignment. The fabrication and installation team therefore need to treat each panel as part of a sequence rather than as an independent sheet.

The same principle applies to the conference-room chandeliers and ceiling details. Metal carries the visible support and provides a finish link between wall surfaces and overhead elements. Lighting then brings the material to life without turning the room into a display of reflection. This balance is what lets a meeting room feel suitable for formal events while remaining comfortable for daily use.

CNC aluminium screens in the restaurant

Restaurant areas required a different kind of metalwork. The supplied scope includes CNC-carved aluminium screens for partitions and decorative walls. Unlike a mirror wall, a patterned screen is read through its openings and shadow. It can soften a view toward service areas, divide tables or give a buffet edge without making the room feel closed in.

The restaurant images show this approach around buffet and café settings. The screen pattern adds texture, while the metal frame keeps the room ordered. It is a practical choice where guests need visual separation but staff still need an open operational layout. The aluminium component also avoids forcing one material and one finish into every part of the hotel. The project uses mirror stainless steel where reflection and precision are needed, then uses CNC aluminium where pattern and permeability are more useful.

Pool, dining and the value of a coordinated package

The hotel’s pool deck, café and dining areas extend the project beyond the enclosed lobby and meeting rooms. Stainless steel railing components at the pool bring a durable, clean detail to an outdoor leisure setting. In dining areas, display elements, screens and trims work around food service, seating and frequent cleaning. Each application has different practical conditions, but the quality threshold stays the same: straight lines, controlled finish and credible connections to adjacent materials.

A one-stop architectural metalwork package is useful in this situation because the same coordination questions recur everywhere. What is the visible edge? How does the panel meet stone? Which parts must be removable for access? Where does a screen stop and a wall begin? Resolving those details across the hotel avoids a patchwork of slightly different metal languages.

The Gevora Hotel project shows how reflective stainless steel can do more than decorate. Used around public touchpoints, conference rooms and dining spaces, it gives a tall hotel a consistent interior language.
