FAQ

What types of custom metal furniture and fixtures can Xinmao make?

Xinmao develops project-specific reception desks, mirror cabinets, display cabinets, shelving, decorative waste bins, wall niches and other commercial fixtures. Each item is designed around its location, daily use, dimensions and approved finish, rather than a fixed catalogue size.

Can several fixtures be designed as one coordinated package?

Yes. A reception desk, bathroom mirror cabinets, wall niches and waste bins can share an approved metal finish and a consistent approach to edges and visible joints. Each piece still needs its own dimensions, operating clearances and installation details.

What should we send for an initial quotation?

Send an item schedule with quantities, plans or elevations, approximate dimensions, project location, finish references and intended use. Include known equipment, lighting, plumbing, power, wall conditions and delivery constraints. Xinmao can identify any missing measurements before final shop drawings and pricing are confirmed.

Can you work from a design concept instead of completed shop drawings?

Yes. Share sketches, renderings or reference images together with the available site dimensions and functional requirements. The design must then be developed into approved fabrication drawings, with material, structure, joints, access and fixing details confirmed before production.

How do you make the furniture practical for daily use?

The layout is reviewed around the people who use and maintain each piece. For a reception desk, that includes staff legroom, equipment, cable access and guest approach. For a mirror cabinet, it includes door swing, storage and wall depth. For a waste bin, it includes usable capacity, liner removal and cleaning.

Can stainless steel be combined with mirror, glass, stone or timber?

Yes. These materials can be coordinated within a custom furniture package. Their edges, support, movement, cleaning and replacement access should be resolved in the approved details rather than assumed from an appearance sample alone.

Which finish should we choose for bathrooms and high-traffic areas?

The choice depends on moisture, cleaning products, touch frequency, lighting and the surrounding materials. Brushed, satin, mirror, textured and PVD finishes can be reviewed through physical samples. The metal grade, hardware and mirror components should be specified for the actual exposure; no finish is maintenance-free.

Can lighting, power or equipment be integrated?

Integration can be planned when equipment dimensions, service connections and access requirements are provided early. The shop drawings should identify openings and removable sections, while the project team confirms electrical, plumbing and other trade responsibilities.

How are large or built-in pieces delivered and installed?

Module sizes are planned around fabrication, transport, lifts, doorways and the site installation route. Approved drawings should show section joints, fixing conditions, finished floor and wall interfaces, and the assembly sequence. Site measurements should be confirmed before production of pieces that fit tight openings.

What approvals should be completed before production?

Confirm the item schedule, surveyed dimensions, material specification, finish sample, shop drawings, equipment interfaces, fixing approach and required access panels. Where appearance or fit is critical, agree whether a representative mock-up is needed. Project-specific waterproofing, electrical, structural and accessibility requirements should be approved by the responsible design and installation teams.
