304 / 316 stainless steel facing with formed-sheet or composite-backed constructions, including stainless steel honeycomb panels where suitable. Face thickness, backing and total panel weight are specified by project.

Surface Finishes

Brushed, mirror, embossed, etched and PVD-coloured finishes, including champagne gold, bronze, copper and black. Samples can be reviewed under the intended cabin lighting.

Panel Dimensions & Layout

Custom wall panel sizes, vertical and horizontal joints, reveal strips, corner trims and edge returns. Layouts are coordinated with handrails, control-panel openings and ventilation requirements.

Fabrication & Fixing Details

CNC cutting, bending, edge finishing and prepared fixing interfaces. Panel backing, clips and access provisions are coordinated with approved installation details.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can Xinmao supply for elevator cab interiors?

Xinmao manufactures custom stainless steel wall-facing panels, decorative trims, reveals and associated metal components. These can be coordinated with mirrors, lighting, handrails and other interior materials according to the approved design. Structural cab shells, elevator machinery, controls and safety systems are outside our standard decorative metalwork scope.

What stainless steel grade and thickness should be used for elevator cab wall panels?

304 stainless steel is a common option for interior applications, while 316 may be considered for more demanding exposure or cleaning conditions. Panel thickness depends on dimensions, backing construction and the approved fixing system. We review the stainless steel face, backing and complete assembly together rather than specifying one thickness for every elevator.

Are stainless steel honeycomb panels better than solid stainless steel panels?

Honeycomb-backed panels are worth considering when low weight, panel stiffness and surface flatness are important. However, their actual advantages depend on the complete assembly, including the face sheet, core, backing and edge construction. Panel weights and fixing requirements should be compared before a construction is selected.

Will replacement wall panels affect elevator weight or capacity?

They may. Added or replacement panels can change the weight of the elevator car. The elevator provider must confirm the permitted weight allowance and determine whether any balance assessment, system adjustment or approval is required. Xinmao can provide proposed panel dimensions, constructions and estimated weights for that review.

Can elevator wall panels be replaced without replacing the entire cab?

In many refurbishment projects, decorative wall panels can be replaced while retaining the existing cab structure. The existing shell, fixing points, available clearances and equipment interfaces must first be assessed. Final approval of the modification remains with the responsible elevator contractor.

Which stainless steel finish is best for a high-traffic elevator?

Brushed satin and textured stainless steel are practical options to evaluate for high-contact areas because they can make minor marks and fingerprints less noticeable. Mirror and PVD-coloured finishes offer different decorative effects but may require more careful maintenance. Final selection should be based on physical samples and cleaning expectations.

How are elevator cab wall panels installed?

Installation depends on the approved wall panel system. Mechanical clips, prepared backing and other specified fixing details may be used where suitable. The installer must maintain required equipment access, ventilation openings, clearances and secure attachment. All interfaces affecting the elevator must be coordinated with the elevator provider.

Can scratches on PVD or mirror stainless steel panels be repaired?

Minor marks on some uncoated finishes may be assessed for professional refinishing. Deep scratches, particularly those penetrating a PVD-coloured surface, may require panel replacement or factory assessment. Abrasive polishing can alter the colour or surface appearance. Protective measures and suitable cleaning methods should be agreed before handover.

What information is required for an elevator wall panel quotation?

Please provide cab drawings, wall dimensions, number of elevators, panel quantities, finish references, construction preferences and any required cut-outs or trims. For refurbishment projects, include existing panel details and available photographs. Confirmed weight and clearance limits, delivery location and the required supply scope will help us prepare a more accurate quotation.
