WHAT WE CUSTOMIZE

CUSTOM PERFORATED STAINLESS STEEL CEILING PANELS

Develop the perforation pattern around its intended purpose: decorative screening, a specified acoustic assembly or a backlit feature. Hole geometry, backing and panel edges are coordinated as one design.

HOLE PATTERN & OPEN AREA

Specify hole shape, size, spacing and arrangement, together with the required unperforated borders. Review the pattern across complete modules, including its relationship with panel joints.

ACOUSTIC BACKING CONFIGURATION

Where sound absorption is required, define the perforated face, backing material and ceiling cavity as a complete assembly. Any acoustic rating must correspond to the specified tested construction.

BACKLIGHTING & VISUAL SCREENING

For illuminated features, coordinate the perforations with light placement, diffuser requirements and available ceiling depth. Review visibility of lamps and services through a representative mock-up.

FORMED EDGES & EQUIPMENT INTERFACES

Coordinate panel returns, fixing borders and cut-outs for lights, grilles and access. Keep perforations clear of connection zones and confirm the treatment of exposed cut edges.

APPLICATIONS

Perforated Stainless Steel Ceiling Applications

Meeting & Training Rooms: Where sound absorption is required, use the perforated panel as the visible face of a defined backing-and-cavity assembly. Base acoustic claims on that complete construction, not on the perforated sheet alone.

Libraries & Learning Spaces: Organise ceilings over reading and discussion areas. Select the perforation pattern and panel layout in coordination with acoustic requirements, lighting and maintenance access.

Backlit Entrance & Corridor Features: Create patterned illuminated features in entrances and corridors. Coordinate the holes, lighting setback, light distribution and maintenance access so that services do not become visually distracting.

Office Collaboration & Breakout Areas: Use perforation patterns, backing and panel arrangements to identify collaboration or rest areas within open offices. Specify acoustic construction according to the actual requirements.

FAQ

Does a perforated stainless steel panel absorb sound on its own?

Perforations alone do not establish a sound absorption rating. Confirm the complete construction, including the perforated face, acoustic backing and cavity, and use test results that correspond to that assembly.

Do larger holes and a higher open area always improve sound absorption?

No general rule applies. Hole size, pitch, arrangement and the construction behind the panel must be selected together. Open area is not a substitute for acoustic test results.

Can the same perforated panel provide both backlighting and sound absorption?

The build-up behind the panel must be designed for the intended combination. Acoustic backing may reduce light transmission, while lighting occupies space behind the panel. The two effects should not simply be combined as an unverified performance promise.

Will pipes and equipment above a perforated ceiling be visible?

Visibility depends on the hole pattern, viewing angle, ceiling height and backing treatment. Decorative perforation does not automatically conceal every service above it. Check a representative mock-up.

How should perforations be coordinated with lights, air grilles and panel joints?

Overlay the perforation pattern onto the coordinated ceiling layout before fabrication. Define perforated areas, solid borders, equipment openings and connection zones so that openings do not interrupt the pattern unexpectedly or encroach on fixing edges.
