Custom stainless steel screen

Custom Bronze Stainless Steel Screen Frame Collection

Rounded mesh frames, open grilles and geometric panels offer distinct stainless steel screen configurations for bespoke hotel and commercial openings.
Product Features

Created for specification-led metalwork packages, the design combines rounded mesh frames, linear grilles and geometric laser-cut panel configurations. Typical applications include bespoke hotel and commercial packages with varied opening conditions, used as fixed partitions or decorative feature panels. Shop drawings should define each selected pattern, panel division, frame stiffness, fixing-point layout and diagonal tolerance before fabrication. Xinmao Metal can coordinate samples, fabrication details, finish matching and export-ready packing.

Elegantly hide clutter, storage units, utility areas, or architectural imperfections from view.

Installation Precautions
  • Identify the rounded mesh, rectilinear cutout, interrupted grille or paired geometric configuration on each module label before setting out.
  • Protect the rounded mesh edges and use the agreed retaining detail; do not flatten or retension the infill to compensate for a misaligned frame.
  • For the interrupted grille, keep temporary handling forces off the free ends of the vertical members and confirm their orientation before fixing.
  • Set paired frames from a common datum and check the central joint against the approved elevation. Confirm the supporting and movement details separately if an operable arrangement is requested. Further guidance: Screen system fixing and installation guidance

Architectural screens designed around the space

A decorative screen is more than a pattern applied to metal. It has to manage sight lines, light, circulation and scale while fitting the surrounding architecture. Xinmao develops every stainless steel screen as an integral component of the architectural intent—seamlessly balancing visual design with fabrication and site installation requirements.

Custom Bronze Stainless Steel Screen Frame Collection

A Rounded Mesh Frame Softens The Panel Outline

The rounded-end option sets a finely textured mesh field inside a soft rectangular perimeter. A small number of straight divisions gives it structure without competing with the curved outline. It provides a quieter visual direction than the geometric cutout alternatives within this custom frame collection.

Open Rectilinear Patterns Give The Border More Contrast

Another arrangement uses an open rectilinear pattern within a deeper-looking rectangular surround. The repeated openings create a more graphic field than the fine mesh option. Review the border and pattern together, especially where a dense internal grid meets the outer edges of a narrow architectural opening.

Interrupted Uprights Leave A Deliberate Central Gap

The linear grille extends vertical members inwards from the top and bottom, leaving an irregular open band between their ends. This interrupted arrangement is a defining part of the composition, not a missing infill. Fix its proportions in the selected elevation before adapting the panel to another opening.

Paired Geometric Panels Need A Shared Pattern Datum

A paired arrangement uses dense diagonal geometry in two adjoining framed fields. The central joint becomes part of the overall design, so decide whether the selected repeat aligns or changes across it. Paired appearance alone does not establish a hinged or operable partition system.

Different Infills Require Different Frame Details

Mesh, linear members and geometric cutout fields are distinct construction choices within the stainless steel range. Resolve the selected infill's edge connection and frame support individually. A common bronze-tone direction can coordinate a fit-out package without making the internal build-up identical across every opening.

Approve The Configuration Against The Actual Opening

A rounded perimeter, a central interruption and a paired geometric layout each respond differently to changes in height or width. Include the opening dimensions, adjoining finishes and fixing access in the approval drawing. Select a representative sample that carries the relevant edge or junction rather than only a generic finish coupon.

Details that hold the screen together

A screen is most convincing when pattern, panel construction, finish and interfaces are resolved as one composition.

Rounded Ends Give The Mesh Option A Softer Profile

The curved perimeter contrasts with the straighter outlines elsewhere in the collection.

A Central Interruption Changes The Linear Grille

Uprights with varied end positions leave a deliberate open band through the composition.

Paired Geometry Creates A Two-Panel Arrangement

A central frame junction gives the dense diagonal pattern a different overall rhythm.

Several Configurations Can Share A Finish Direction

The collection coordinates mesh, grilles and cutout fields without treating their construction details as interchangeable.

Architectural Challenges & Solutions

Challenge

Privacy is needed, but the room must remain open

Frequently asked questions

Practical answers for architects, contractors and project teams reviewing a custom screen package.

Custom architectural stainless steel screen detail
01Is your metal screen a traditional mashrabiya?

Our products are custom metal screens that can use mashrabiya-inspired geometric patterns. Traditional mashrabiya is a specific architectural element with cultural and environmental functions. We describe modern metal interpretations by their material, pattern and project use rather than treating them as identical to historic woodwork.

02Can a mashrabiya-inspired screen improve shade and privacy?

It can provide visual screening and reduce direct sun in the right arrangement. The effect depends on orientation, pattern depth, open area, viewing angles and the building behind it. Any required daylight, solar or privacy performance should be tested or calculated for the project before it is specified.

03Can the pattern look different by day and at night?

Yes. Sun direction and interior or exterior lighting change the visible pattern, shadows and sightlines. If night-time privacy matters, review the screen with the intended lighting on both sides; daytime appearance alone is not enough to approve it.

04Can a perforated decorative screen act as a waterproof facade?

No. An open metal screen is a decorative or shading layer; the wall or facade behind it must provide the required weather protection. The project team should coordinate drainage, exposed materials, brackets and maintenance access with the building envelope design.

05What changes when a screen is used outdoors?

Outdoor use requires a separate review of exposure, material and finish selection, support, fixings, drainage, cleaning access and any project-specific wind or structural requirements. A pattern approved for an interior partition should not automatically be reused outside.

06Can a screen be supplied in one large piece?

Panel size is set by the design, sheet availability, fabrication method, stiffness, finish, packaging, shipping and site access. For larger elevations, coordinated modules often give a more practical installation route while preserving the pattern across joints.

07Can you provide drawings and samples before production?

Xinmao's published process includes project drawings, finish review and samples or mock-ups. Agree the required drawing set, sample size, approval sequence and installation interfaces in the project scope before fabrication begins.

08Where are architectural metal screens commonly used?

Typical uses include lobby features, partitions, privacy screens, restaurant and retail zoning, lift surrounds and decorative enclosures. The final screen design should respond to the circulation, sight lines and maintenance access of the space.

09Can the pattern be customised for a specific project?

Yes. A client motif, geometric reference or privacy requirement can be used as the starting point. Pattern scale and open area are then reviewed against panel size, borders, viewing distance and fabrication constraints.

10What information do you need for an initial quotation?

Please provide overall dimensions, quantity, project location, intended application, preferred finish, pattern reference and any available drawings. Provisional information should be marked so it can be reviewed separately.

11How is the material selected for a screen project?

Material selection depends on the project specification, location, required appearance, panel format and fabrication method. Xinmao primarily develops stainless steel screen packages, while final material and thickness follow approved project requirements.

12Can the screen finish match other metalwork in the project?

Finish references, approved samples and adjacent metalwork can be reviewed together. Where appearance is critical, colour, texture and grain direction should be confirmed with physical samples before production.

13Can the screen be used for both interior and exterior applications?

Both applications can be considered, but they should not use the same specification by default. Material, finish, backing structure, drainage, fixings and local exposure conditions must be reviewed for the actual project location.

14What installation information can be provided?

The installation approach depends on the project scope and surrounding construction. Wall, floor and ceiling conditions should be shared so frames, brackets, access and fixing interfaces can be discussed during detailing.

15What maintenance is normally required?

Maintenance depends on the selected material, finish, location and level of contact. Accessible joints and suitable panel divisions make cleaning easier. Final cleaning products and methods should follow the approved finish sample and project guidance.
