Custom stainless steel screen

Bronze Geometric Laser-Cut Stainless Steel Feature Screens

Bronze-toned stainless steel screens combine geometric laser-cut patterns and framed layouts for hospitality interiors, living areas and covered entrance features.
Product Features

Custom geometric laser-cut stainless steel screen partitions combine framed panels with repeating cut-out patterns. Warm bronze and gold-toned surfaces suit living rooms, hospitality interiors and covered entrance spaces. Open patterns allow light and sightlines to pass through while giving a room or passage a defined edge. Xinmao Metal can adapt the panel size, frame layout, pattern and visible finish to suit a project.

Application Scenarios

Space Zoning & Partitioning :
Flexibly divide open-plan living rooms, studio apartments, or shared offices into distinct functional zones (e.g., separating a dining area from the lounge, or a workspace from the bedroom) without structural changes.

Privacy Creation :
Instantly create private nooks for changing areas, home offices, reading corners, or dressing rooms in residential or hospitality settings.

Decorative Focal Point & Backdrop :
Act as stylish art pieces, headboards behind beds, or aesthetic backdrops for video calls, photography, and live streaming.

Light & Flow Control :
Gently diffuse direct sunlight, block unwanted light, or redirect air currents to create a more comfortable micro-climate.

Concealment :
Elegantly hide clutter, storage units, utility areas, or architectural imperfections from view.

Installation Precautions
  • Confirm the chosen motif, frame outline and panel references against the approved elevation. Review pattern scale and border terminations before manufacture, especially where different reference designs are used.
  • Survey the opening, finished floor and ceiling datums, and set out support positions for the actual substrate. Do not use narrow patterned bridges as improvised lifting or fixing points.
  • At covered entrances, confirm weather exposure, drainage and material selection rather than assuming the canopy makes every connection an interior detail.
  • Protect the warm-toned finish during fitting and adjacent works. Check repeated module alignment and the selected sample appearance before removing protection and completing handover. Further guidance: Screen system fixing and installation guidance

Architectural screens designed around the space

A decorative screen is more than a pattern applied to metal. It has to manage sight lines, light, circulation and scale while fitting the surrounding architecture. Xinmao develops every stainless steel screen as an integral component of the architectural intent—seamlessly balancing visual design with fabrication and site installation requirements.

Bronze Geometric Laser-Cut Stainless Steel Feature Screens

Geometric Repeats With Different Decorative Characters

Linked circles, fine geometric fields and leaf-like repeats offer distinct decorative directions within this screen selection. Each motif has its own relationship between metal and opening. The chosen pattern is identified on the approved drawing rather than assuming the reference images describe a single interchangeable panel design.

Warm Metal Frames Around Open Pattern Fields

Bronze and gold-toned surfaces give the openwork a warm architectural presence beside timber, stone or upholstered furniture. The surrounding frame defines the panel outline and relates it to nearby construction. Surface colour, texture and gloss are selected through a physical sample rather than used to infer a coating process.

Straight Panels And Rounded Upper Frame Options

A rounded upper outline offers a different treatment from the taller straight-sided rectangular compositions. Frame shape, panel divisions and the way the motif reaches the border should be developed together. The selected outline is a design option, not evidence that every arrangement uses the same support or fixing system.

Living Areas And Covered Entrance Compositions

The patterned metal can define the edge of a lounge, form a background beside seating or line a covered entrance. Each location changes the viewing distance and surrounding light. For entrance conditions, the material selection and connections must still reflect the actual exposure, even where a canopy provides partial shelter.

Project Dimensions Without Losing Pattern Proportion

Xinmao Metal can adapt the panel size, pattern and frame layout to the project elevation. Scaling the overall screen should include a review of the repeat, borders and module junctions. This keeps the decorative intention coordinated with the opening while leaving material thickness and the supporting construction to the approved specification.

Details that hold the screen together

A screen is most convincing when pattern, panel construction, finish and interfaces are resolved as one composition.

Linked Circles As A Clear Decorative Direction

The linked-circle option introduces a recognisable repeated rhythm within the metal face. It can form a focal panel without relying on a solid background, allowing the surrounding interior to remain visible through the open pattern.

Leaf Like Patterns Beside Soft Interior Forms

The botanical direction offers a different visual character from the tighter geometric repeats. Its fine branching lines can relate to planting, upholstery and curved furniture while remaining contained within a defined architectural frame.

Rounded Or Straight Frames For Different Openings

A rounded upper frame and a rectangular panel offer distinct ways to complete the screen outline. Selecting the frame together with the motif helps it respond to the actual opening rather than treating the border as an afterthought.

Patterned Light Across Covered Entrance Routes

Open motifs can cast changing shadows across nearby surfaces where daylight reaches the screen. The effect depends on orientation, surrounding construction and time of day, making light part of the design review rather than a fixed performance promise.

Architectural Challenges & Solutions

Challenge

Privacy is needed, but the room must remain open

Xinmao response

Pattern density is calibrated to balance line-of-sight privacy with ambient light and spatial flow.

Challenge

The selected motif does not fit the final elevation

Xinmao response

Motifs are scaled and proportioned across the full elevation, ensuring seamless pattern continuation without awkward crops.

Challenge

Large panels are difficult to transport and install

Xinmao response

Elevations are modularized into manageable sections, aligning panel joints seamlessly with the architectural grid.

Frequently asked questions

Practical answers for architects, contractors and project teams reviewing a custom screen package.

Custom architectural stainless steel screen detail
01Is your metal screen a traditional mashrabiya?

Our products are custom metal screens that can use mashrabiya-inspired geometric patterns. Traditional mashrabiya is a specific architectural element with cultural and environmental functions. We describe modern metal interpretations by their material, pattern and project use rather than treating them as identical to historic woodwork.

02Can a mashrabiya-inspired screen improve shade and privacy?

It can provide visual screening and reduce direct sun in the right arrangement. The effect depends on orientation, pattern depth, open area, viewing angles and the building behind it. Any required daylight, solar or privacy performance should be tested or calculated for the project before it is specified.

03Can the pattern look different by day and at night?

Yes. Sun direction and interior or exterior lighting change the visible pattern, shadows and sightlines. If night-time privacy matters, review the screen with the intended lighting on both sides; daytime appearance alone is not enough to approve it.

04Can a perforated decorative screen act as a waterproof facade?

No. An open metal screen is a decorative or shading layer; the wall or facade behind it must provide the required weather protection. The project team should coordinate drainage, exposed materials, brackets and maintenance access with the building envelope design.

05What changes when a screen is used outdoors?

Outdoor use requires a separate review of exposure, material and finish selection, support, fixings, drainage, cleaning access and any project-specific wind or structural requirements. A pattern approved for an interior partition should not automatically be reused outside.

06Can a screen be supplied in one large piece?

Panel size is set by the design, sheet availability, fabrication method, stiffness, finish, packaging, shipping and site access. For larger elevations, coordinated modules often give a more practical installation route while preserving the pattern across joints.

07Can you provide drawings and samples before production?

Xinmao's published process includes project drawings, finish review and samples or mock-ups. Agree the required drawing set, sample size, approval sequence and installation interfaces in the project scope before fabrication begins.

08Where are architectural metal screens commonly used?

Typical uses include lobby features, partitions, privacy screens, restaurant and retail zoning, lift surrounds and decorative enclosures. The final screen design should respond to the circulation, sight lines and maintenance access of the space.

09Can the pattern be customised for a specific project?

Yes. A client motif, geometric reference or privacy requirement can be used as the starting point. Pattern scale and open area are then reviewed against panel size, borders, viewing distance and fabrication constraints.

10What information do you need for an initial quotation?

Please provide overall dimensions, quantity, project location, intended application, preferred finish, pattern reference and any available drawings. Provisional information should be marked so it can be reviewed separately.

11How is the material selected for a screen project?

Material selection depends on the project specification, location, required appearance, panel format and fabrication method. Xinmao primarily develops stainless steel screen packages, while final material and thickness follow approved project requirements.

12Can the screen finish match other metalwork in the project?

Finish references, approved samples and adjacent metalwork can be reviewed together. Where appearance is critical, colour, texture and grain direction should be confirmed with physical samples before production.

13Can the screen be used for both interior and exterior applications?

Both applications can be considered, but they should not use the same specification by default. Material, finish, backing structure, drainage, fixings and local exposure conditions must be reviewed for the actual project location.

14What installation information can be provided?

The installation approach depends on the project scope and surrounding construction. Wall, floor and ceiling conditions should be shared so frames, brackets, access and fixing interfaces can be discussed during detailing.

15What maintenance is normally required?

Maintenance depends on the selected material, finish, location and level of contact. Accessible joints and suitable panel divisions make cleaning easier. Final cleaning products and methods should follow the approved finish sample and project guidance.
