Custom stainless steel screen

Slim Framed Textured Glass Entry Divider Screens

Slim stainless steel entry screens pair textured infill and narrow frames with optional display surfaces for foyers and living-room transitions.
Product Features

Custom stainless steel entry divider screens use slim framed panels, textured translucent infill and open decorative patterns to organise a foyer without blocking the interior beyond. The supplied examples suit apartment entries, living-room transitions and compact reception zones, with narrow profiles that can also incorporate a small display shelf or console. Xinmao Metal can adapt the frame layout, panel proportion, infill pattern and visible finish for a project-specific entry divider.

Application Scenarios

Space Zoning & Partitioning :
Flexibly divide open-plan living rooms, studio apartments, or shared offices into distinct functional zones (e.g., separating a dining area from the lounge, or a workspace from the bedroom) without structural changes.

Privacy Creation :
Instantly create private nooks for changing areas, home offices, reading corners, or dressing rooms in residential or hospitality settings.

Decorative Focal Point & Backdrop :
Act as stylish art pieces, headboards behind beds, or aesthetic backdrops for video calls, photography, and live streaming.

Light & Flow Control :
Gently diffuse direct sunlight, block unwanted light, or redirect air currents to create a more comfortable micro-climate.

Concealment :
Elegantly hide clutter, storage units, utility areas, or architectural imperfections from view.

Installation Precautions
  • Survey the foyer, adjacent cabinetry and circulation before approving the screen width and position. Identify the selected textured-glass, fine-grid or diamond-form arrangement on the drawing.
  • Confirm the infill construction and any glass safety requirements for the actual location. Use the approved edge isolation, retention and handling method rather than relying on a texture description.
  • Where a shelf or console is specified, agree its material, supports, intended use and connection to the screen. Do not load decorative infill or assume the frame alone provides a rated shelf support.
  • If an operable diamond-form option is requested, approve travel, hardware, pinch-point precautions and stability separately. For all arrangements, protect the finish and preserve cleaning or replacement access. Further guidance: Screen system fixing and installation guidance

Architectural screens designed around the space

A decorative screen is more than a pattern applied to metal. It has to manage sight lines, light, circulation and scale while fitting the surrounding architecture. Xinmao develops every stainless steel screen as an integral component of the architectural intent—seamlessly balancing visual design with fabrication and site installation requirements.

Slim Framed Textured Glass Entry Divider Screens

A Narrow Divider Beside The Entry Cabinet

The slim dark outline defines a foyer boundary without occupying the visual space of a solid wall. It can sit beside entrance cabinetry and keep the living area beyond connected to the arrival route. Panel proportions are developed around the actual opening and circulation.

Textured Glass With A Stronger Surface Presence

The more pronounced textured-glass direction creates a distinct face even when the frame is narrow. Light, background colour and viewing angle contribute to its appearance. Select the infill from a physical sample, with the required glass construction and edge treatment confirmed separately.

A Small Display Surface Across The Frame

A narrow shelf or console can create a place for an entrance display. Its relationship to the screen is planned deliberately: agree the surface material, supports and intended use rather than assuming the decorative frame can carry any shelf load.

Fine Grid As An Alternative Entry Treatment

The grid-like option adds a small repeated texture to the same narrow entrance role. It offers a different visual density from the larger textured glass, so its infill and frame should remain separately identified on the project schedule.

Elongated Diamond Forms In A Separate Design Option

The diamond-form direction provides a more sculptural alternative to the flat framed panels. Repeated tapered shapes make it visually distinct. If an adjustable or operable arrangement is required, its movement, hardware and stability need separate confirmation; the shape alone is not an operating specification.

Room Divider And Display Planned Around The Foyer

Xinmao Metal can adapt the frame layout, infill and panel proportions for compact reception zones and residential entries. The screen, cabinetry and display surface are coordinated around the arrival route, with each supplied component clearly defined. This keeps the divider useful within the room rather than adding a decorative panel without considering how people pass it.

Details that hold the screen together

A screen is most convincing when pattern, panel construction, finish and interfaces are resolved as one composition.

A Slim Dark Outline At The Entrance

Narrow frame lines mark the transition into the living area. Their proportions can relate to adjacent cabinetry while the infill retains a degree of light and visual connection through the foyer.

Textured Infill As The Main Decorative Surface

A pronounced translucent texture gives the narrow panel its character. The effect depends on the selected infill and its background, making the material sample part of the interior design rather than a secondary specification.

An Optional Display Line Within The Composition

A small shelf or console can provide a horizontal counterpoint to the tall screen. Its level, extent and supports are coordinated with the frame and entrance furniture instead of assumed to be included in every arrangement.

A Diamond Form Beyond Flat Panel Layouts

Elongated diamond shapes offer a separate visual direction for the entry. They introduce depth and repetition while the selected construction, fixing and any requested movement remain subject to their own approved detail.

Architectural Challenges & Solutions

Challenge

Privacy is needed, but the room must remain open

Xinmao response

Pattern density is calibrated to balance line-of-sight privacy with ambient light and spatial flow.

Frequently asked questions

Practical answers for architects, contractors and project teams reviewing a custom screen package.

Custom architectural stainless steel screen detail
01Is your metal screen a traditional mashrabiya?

Our products are custom metal screens that can use mashrabiya-inspired geometric patterns. Traditional mashrabiya is a specific architectural element with cultural and environmental functions. We describe modern metal interpretations by their material, pattern and project use rather than treating them as identical to historic woodwork.

02Can a mashrabiya-inspired screen improve shade and privacy?

It can provide visual screening and reduce direct sun in the right arrangement. The effect depends on orientation, pattern depth, open area, viewing angles and the building behind it. Any required daylight, solar or privacy performance should be tested or calculated for the project before it is specified.

03Can the pattern look different by day and at night?

Yes. Sun direction and interior or exterior lighting change the visible pattern, shadows and sightlines. If night-time privacy matters, review the screen with the intended lighting on both sides; daytime appearance alone is not enough to approve it.

04Can a perforated decorative screen act as a waterproof facade?

No. An open metal screen is a decorative or shading layer; the wall or facade behind it must provide the required weather protection. The project team should coordinate drainage, exposed materials, brackets and maintenance access with the building envelope design.

05What changes when a screen is used outdoors?

Outdoor use requires a separate review of exposure, material and finish selection, support, fixings, drainage, cleaning access and any project-specific wind or structural requirements. A pattern approved for an interior partition should not automatically be reused outside.

06Can a screen be supplied in one large piece?

Panel size is set by the design, sheet availability, fabrication method, stiffness, finish, packaging, shipping and site access. For larger elevations, coordinated modules often give a more practical installation route while preserving the pattern across joints.

07Can you provide drawings and samples before production?

Xinmao's published process includes project drawings, finish review and samples or mock-ups. Agree the required drawing set, sample size, approval sequence and installation interfaces in the project scope before fabrication begins.

08Where are architectural metal screens commonly used?

Typical uses include lobby features, partitions, privacy screens, restaurant and retail zoning, lift surrounds and decorative enclosures. The final screen design should respond to the circulation, sight lines and maintenance access of the space.

09Can the pattern be customised for a specific project?

Yes. A client motif, geometric reference or privacy requirement can be used as the starting point. Pattern scale and open area are then reviewed against panel size, borders, viewing distance and fabrication constraints.

10What information do you need for an initial quotation?

Please provide overall dimensions, quantity, project location, intended application, preferred finish, pattern reference and any available drawings. Provisional information should be marked so it can be reviewed separately.

11How is the material selected for a screen project?

Material selection depends on the project specification, location, required appearance, panel format and fabrication method. Xinmao primarily develops stainless steel screen packages, while final material and thickness follow approved project requirements.

12Can the screen finish match other metalwork in the project?

Finish references, approved samples and adjacent metalwork can be reviewed together. Where appearance is critical, colour, texture and grain direction should be confirmed with physical samples before production.

13Can the screen be used for both interior and exterior applications?

Both applications can be considered, but they should not use the same specification by default. Material, finish, backing structure, drainage, fixings and local exposure conditions must be reviewed for the actual project location.

14What installation information can be provided?

The installation approach depends on the project scope and surrounding construction. Wall, floor and ceiling conditions should be shared so frames, brackets, access and fixing interfaces can be discussed during detailing.

15What maintenance is normally required?

Maintenance depends on the selected material, finish, location and level of contact. Accessible joints and suitable panel divisions make cleaning easier. Final cleaning products and methods should follow the approved finish sample and project guidance.
