Custom stainless steel screen

Framed Translucent Glass Screens for Hospitality Interiors

Stainless steel framed glass screens combine translucent textured panels and repeated metal divisions for hospitality lounges, dining areas and layered interior boundaries.
Product Features

Custom stainless steel framed translucent screen panels use repeated rectangular infill pieces within a structured metal frame. Textured and softly reflective surfaces appear across the set, with bronze, gold and dark-toned frames suited to living rooms, hotel entrances, dining areas and reception spaces. The framed layout can define a room boundary while keeping light and sightlines between spaces. Xinmao Metal can adapt panel proportions, frame profile, infill layout and visible finish for an interior project.

Application Scenarios

Space Zoning & Partitioning :
Flexibly divide open-plan living rooms, studio apartments, or shared offices into distinct functional zones (e.g., separating a dining area from the lounge, or a workspace from the bedroom) without structural changes.

Privacy Creation :
Instantly create private nooks for changing areas, home offices, reading corners, or dressing rooms in residential or hospitality settings.

Decorative Focal Point & Backdrop :
Act as stylish art pieces, headboards behind beds, or aesthetic backdrops for video calls, photography, and live streaming.

Light & Flow Control :
Gently diffuse direct sunlight, block unwanted light, or redirect air currents to create a more comfortable micro-climate.

Concealment :
Elegantly hide clutter, storage units, utility areas, or architectural imperfections from view.

Installation Precautions
  • Approve the infill schedule, actual glass type and required safety specification for the intended location. Do not infer toughening, lamination, fire resistance or impact performance from a textured appearance.
  • Confirm individual infill supports, retention, edge isolation and any replacement sequence. Use the approved handling method and prevent unprotected glass edges from bearing directly against metal.
  • Survey the opening and verify the frame's supports, module alignment and stability. Keep arched, rectangular and curved-layout options separately identified rather than substituting one configuration for another.
  • Coordinate nearby doors, furniture, circulation and cleaning access before fixing the screen. Protect both metal and glass during adjacent works and use cleaning products approved for the complete selected assembly. Further guidance: Screen system fixing and installation guidance

Architectural screens designed around the space

A decorative screen is more than a pattern applied to metal. It has to manage sight lines, light, circulation and scale while fitting the surrounding architecture. Xinmao develops every stainless steel screen as an integral component of the architectural intent—seamlessly balancing visual design with fabrication and site installation requirements.

Framed Translucent Glass Screens for Hospitality Interiors

Small Translucent Fields Within A Repeated Frame

Repeated translucent pieces create a finer composition than one uninterrupted glass sheet. The metal divisions give each infill a defined outline and establish rhythm across the screen. Panel proportions, spacing and the actual glass construction are selected together rather than inferred from the overall transparency of a reference image.

Arched Motifs And Rectangular Infill Arrangements

Arched upper shapes and rectangular translucent pieces offer different decorative directions within this selection. A curved overall arrangement is another separate layout option. Keep these configurations identified on the drawing schedule so the chosen frame geometry and individual infill shapes remain clear throughout detailing and procurement.

Metal Tones Around A Textured Glass Surface

Bronze, gold and dark-toned frames can relate the screen to furniture, wall finishes and neighbouring architectural metalwork. Textured and softly reflective infill changes the relationship between the frame and its background. Approve the combination by sample without assuming a particular coating process, glass treatment or certified safety classification.

Interior Boundaries For Dining And Reception Settings

The framed composition can define a dining entrance, lounge boundary or restaurant backdrop while retaining a degree of light and visual connection. Actual screening depends on the infill and surrounding lighting. Review those conditions against a sample rather than promising the same privacy effect in every room.

Defined Infill Retention And Frame Coordination

Each glass piece needs a specified support and retention detail coordinated with the metal frame. Glass type, edge isolation, fixing method and any replacement access are approved for the actual assembly. Visible connecting points do not establish a universal attachment system, and decorative glass should not be assigned unverified impact or fire performance.

Details that hold the screen together

A screen is most convincing when pattern, panel construction, finish and interfaces are resolved as one composition.

A Fine Rhythm Of Repeated Translucent Pieces

Small infill fields bring a detailed repeated rhythm to the larger screen. Their relationship to the metal divisions can give a lounge boundary a layered character without relying on one broad opaque panel across the opening.

Arched Shapes Beside Rectangular Metal Divisions

The arched motifs introduce a softer note within the ordered frame. Choosing the infill shapes and surrounding metal lines together helps the decorative arrangement relate to nearby doors, furniture and the overall interior elevation.

Textured Glass With A Changing Background

The textured surface lets light and the room beyond contribute to the screen's appearance. Background colour and viewing angle affect the composition, making the glass sample and its immediate surroundings part of the design review.

Frame Palettes For Different Hospitality Interiors

Bronze, gold and darker frame directions provide different ways to connect the screen with an interior material palette. The selected metal finish and glass appearance are reviewed as a pair while each retains its own material specification.

Architectural Challenges & Solutions

Challenge

Privacy is needed, but the room must remain open

Frequently asked questions

Practical answers for architects, contractors and project teams reviewing a custom screen package.

Custom architectural stainless steel screen detail
01Is your metal screen a traditional mashrabiya?

Our products are custom metal screens that can use mashrabiya-inspired geometric patterns. Traditional mashrabiya is a specific architectural element with cultural and environmental functions. We describe modern metal interpretations by their material, pattern and project use rather than treating them as identical to historic woodwork.

02Can a mashrabiya-inspired screen improve shade and privacy?

It can provide visual screening and reduce direct sun in the right arrangement. The effect depends on orientation, pattern depth, open area, viewing angles and the building behind it. Any required daylight, solar or privacy performance should be tested or calculated for the project before it is specified.

03Can the pattern look different by day and at night?

Yes. Sun direction and interior or exterior lighting change the visible pattern, shadows and sightlines. If night-time privacy matters, review the screen with the intended lighting on both sides; daytime appearance alone is not enough to approve it.

04Can a perforated decorative screen act as a waterproof facade?

No. An open metal screen is a decorative or shading layer; the wall or facade behind it must provide the required weather protection. The project team should coordinate drainage, exposed materials, brackets and maintenance access with the building envelope design.

05What changes when a screen is used outdoors?

Outdoor use requires a separate review of exposure, material and finish selection, support, fixings, drainage, cleaning access and any project-specific wind or structural requirements. A pattern approved for an interior partition should not automatically be reused outside.

06Can a screen be supplied in one large piece?

Panel size is set by the design, sheet availability, fabrication method, stiffness, finish, packaging, shipping and site access. For larger elevations, coordinated modules often give a more practical installation route while preserving the pattern across joints.

07Can you provide drawings and samples before production?

Xinmao's published process includes project drawings, finish review and samples or mock-ups. Agree the required drawing set, sample size, approval sequence and installation interfaces in the project scope before fabrication begins.

08Where are architectural metal screens commonly used?

Typical uses include lobby features, partitions, privacy screens, restaurant and retail zoning, lift surrounds and decorative enclosures. The final screen design should respond to the circulation, sight lines and maintenance access of the space.

09Can the pattern be customised for a specific project?

Yes. A client motif, geometric reference or privacy requirement can be used as the starting point. Pattern scale and open area are then reviewed against panel size, borders, viewing distance and fabrication constraints.

10What information do you need for an initial quotation?

Please provide overall dimensions, quantity, project location, intended application, preferred finish, pattern reference and any available drawings. Provisional information should be marked so it can be reviewed separately.

11How is the material selected for a screen project?

Material selection depends on the project specification, location, required appearance, panel format and fabrication method. Xinmao primarily develops stainless steel screen packages, while final material and thickness follow approved project requirements.

12Can the screen finish match other metalwork in the project?

Finish references, approved samples and adjacent metalwork can be reviewed together. Where appearance is critical, colour, texture and grain direction should be confirmed with physical samples before production.

13Can the screen be used for both interior and exterior applications?

Both applications can be considered, but they should not use the same specification by default. Material, finish, backing structure, drainage, fixings and local exposure conditions must be reviewed for the actual project location.

14What installation information can be provided?

The installation approach depends on the project scope and surrounding construction. Wall, floor and ceiling conditions should be shared so frames, brackets, access and fixing interfaces can be discussed during detailing.

15What maintenance is normally required?

Maintenance depends on the selected material, finish, location and level of contact. Accessible joints and suitable panel divisions make cleaning easier. Final cleaning products and methods should follow the approved finish sample and project guidance.
